Balance Bound Section Breakdown: WORK

by Brooke Forry

The four signature sections of the Balance Bound™ Planner are broad on purpose. WORK 📂 is certainly an obvious category 😉 but can encompass so many things:

  • A regular 9-5-ish job

  • An hourly gig with an ever-changing schedule

  • Non-profit volunteer work

  • Community, school, or political volunteer work

  • A side hustle (or two... or three!)

… or any combination of the above. I co-own a business, run a sub-committee for a cultural awareness group at my son’s school, serve on the parents’ association at my daughter’s preschool, and volunteer with a local environmental non-profit. 😅 Tasks for any of these roles, for me, fall under the “work” category — while not all of them result in financial gain, they are all important to keeping my business or someone else’s organization running smoothly. (Whether you’re collecting a pay check or not, your work is valuable! 💪)

I put Curious & Co. and Balance Bound Planner tasks towards the top of my WORK section, and volunteer tasks at the bottom to create a bit of separation. The weekend spread also includes an abridged WORK section for those weekends when I have work to catch up on. I highlight any appointments or commitments that are time-specific.
